My Birth
Mommy went to see Dr. Fujita at 11:15am on Tuesday, June 15th and he was very surprised that she was already 3-4 cm dilated. He told mommy that he didn't think she was going to make it to her Friday appointment with him but to keep that appointment anyway. Well, mommy was feeling very uncomfortable and pain was getting a little worse as the day went by.
Daddy came by around 5pm and stayed with mommy as her pains were getting worse and she was bleeding more profusely. Mommy called Dr. Fujita to make sure that it was okay that she was bleeding so much and he said that it was normal so she just rested after that. Dr Fujita told her that he would call the hospital in the morning to check to see if they were busy and if not would have mommy go in to induce labor. Mommy told daddy to go home around 11pm and that she would be alright and that she wouldn't go to the hospital until the morning. Well, the labor pains started to get worse after midnight so gramma told mommy to call Dr Fujita and he told her to go to the hospital. Well, mommy, gramma, and Uncle Kevin went to the hospital to await my birth. Things were progressing very slowly at first with the pitocin until around 6:30am the pain got really bad and mommy asked for an epidural. The epidural was performed a little after 7am then mommy was comfortable again and couldn't feel any pain. Dr. Fujita came in around 7:45am to check mommy and he said that she should deliver befor lunch since she was already 9cm dilated.
Mommy and gramma was wondering where daddy was, and he called around 8:30am as mommy had the house phone forwarded to the cell phone. Gramma told daddy to hurry up as mommy was in the hospital and he hung up before gramma could tell him what room she was in. Well, dadyy found mommy's room without any problem. Mommy had a great nurse, Kelly. She was really awesome!
Around 12, Kelly told mommy let's try to push so mommy tried pushing but couldn't really feel since she was numb with the epidural. Dr. Fujita came around 12:30pm and told Kelly to stop the epidural so mommy could feel more and he would be back around 1:30pm. Well, mommy kept trying to push, and around 1:00pm she really started pushing, and wanted to give up and Kelly was there supporting her. Finally around 1:30pm Kelly and the other nurses told mommy to stop pushing since they could see my crowning, and doctor wasn't here yet. Dr Fujita finally came around 1:32pm and mommy told Dr Fujita to hurry up~! lolol He got dressed and sat down, then 1 push, then a second push, and he told mommy that baby should be here in the next push. Well.... mommy gave a big push and I came flying out~!!!! Gramma and daddy and mommy were crying and Uncle slept thru the whole thing!! lolol
Well, my life has just started and I'm proud to be here!!
Love,
Avery
